Season 34 was one to forget for Sasol Leeus. A season that turned out to be somewhere between high hopes and a way more mediocre and disappointing reality. Instead of establishing us in Devision 3, the team dropped back down to Division 5 with only one win and three additional results, two of which were seventh places in Giro di Sicilia and the Orel-Kursk Classic respectively. The only positive thing of this lost season was maybe Birhan Kigen maxing, though a bit under his potential and a bit lower than hoped for. However, he still makes a good hill-sprinter and some nice performances are certainly expected from him in the future, something he proved last season with a first time ever podium finish in a WT race for a Leeu ever when finishing runner up for Eritrea in WT C race Budapest-Debrecen.
Besides from hoping for a more successful season 35, all eyes at Sasol Leeus are turned on Malaka Kgobe and his training. If he maxes close to his potential, he could be the first part of a small tt team we are currently planing on. Keep the fingers crossed for the young South African!
With high hopes (once again) for the new year, a sure that it will be one just as exiting at OCM as the one past, Sasol Leeus wishes everyone a marry Christmas!

Glad to see him working for his national team! Always nice to see fellow African nations climbing up the ranking.. Still the best rider I've ever trained and still the best ever riding for my team.. ;)
Kigen's doing well @Eritrea NT. If he's in shape, he can win WT races and bring Eritrea to WorldTour A races, first time in its history.
side-stats really, could have gotten a very good in hl, a good in dh and a small in cl.. would have been the fun of having an almost Sagan like rider.. But was clear that he would never reach that level ;)
Fissa at 17:49 21/12-2015 | | He really is a great rider and can definitly compete with the bests. For the fun, what was his full potential ?
He is a nice rider :-)
Could have been a bit higher, if he reached his full potential, but guess I shouldn't be complaining ;) Still the highest average of any talent I trained so far..
